Thank you for the privilege of being part of your pilgrimage. On one side of your stone I’ve put my nickname. And on the other, a semicolon.
The main purpose of a semicolon is to make a break in a sentence more significant than a common can provide, but not the end of the sentence marked by a period.
It is a connection between two equally important thoughts. This time in you life is semi colon. You have not ended your adventures or growth, but simply have chosen to pause and reflect on the past and ponder the future.
How wise!
I know you weren’t searching for compliments, but let me say that there are many things I admire about you. The main one is your spirit. You courageously attack opportunities, adventures and challenges with gusto! You are unafraid to try new things, and most of the time excel. You have so many times struck me as insightful, thoughtful and wise. This type of adventure is perfect for you, and I’m convinced that no one will get more out of it than you will.
Consider this a semicolon in our relationship, Gert.
I look back with gratitude for having the good fortune of meeting you and spending some significant moments with you. And I look forward to what more rich experiences we may share.
I love you, my friend - and wish for you a wonderful adventure!
